Janjic: The resolution will block conditions for continuing dialogue (Kontakt plus radio)
Pristina's decision to pass a resolution on the alleged genocide of Serbia in Kosovo is multiply wrong - it will block the conditions for the continuation of the dialogue, will not solve the problem of citizens or the individuals from the Pristina authorities who will have to be responsible for the crimes, said Dusan Janjic, from the Forum for Ethnic Relations.
"The fact that individuals from the Kosovo authorities will have to be responsible is not compensated in the way that you proclaim Serbia and Serbs as criminals," Janjic told Belgrade based news agency Tanjug, expressing regret that behind was not a sincere wish to face crimes and condemnation of the crimes, but political calculations of number of votes.
He assessed that it was an old idea of Albanian political leadership that came at a wrong time because Kosovo also has an obligation to create conditions for returning to dialogue.
"They are blocking it, which is opposite to a meeting in Berlin held in late April and messages sent back then," Janjic said.
Pristina adopted last night a resolution on the genocide committed by Serb forces during the Kosovo conflict. The resolution was voted by 79 deputies, without a vote against, and the session was not attended by members of the Serbian community.
