Serbian Minister of Education was kept for one hour and a half at Jarinje crossing (RTS, TV Most)
Minister of Education in the Government of Serbia, Mladen Sarcevic, was kept for an hour and a half during the crossing of the administrative line Jarinje, when entering Kosovo, where he visited University of Pristina, relocated to Mitrovica North.
According to Sarcevic, although they have duly announced the delegation and received a notice that everything is fine, they were kept at Jarinje crossing for an hour and a half.
"We almost did not come today. Especially it was strange to me that we in Belgrade a month ago had a meeting of the ministers of the region, where the ministers of the so called Kosovo government were present , and were very respected," said Sarcevic at the beginning of the conversation with members of the Rectorate.
The minister said that it is important that the University of Pristina, with a seat in Mitrovica north has a normal development.
"We do not give up in any relationship and pressures from Brussels in the story of recognizing any diplomas as long as our university is considered unrecognized from the aspect of people living south of the bridge," said Sarcevic.
He reminded that the Belgrade University is the founder of many faculties in the region, starting from Ljubljana to Podgorica, Pristina, Sarajevo.
"Politics can do whatever, it can say that now is February, but the fundamental things cannot be touched or changed, and that is what is the cultural and educational heritage of this area, whoever lives on it," said Sarcevic.
