In an extraordinary press conference today, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric said that the Quint countries made clear today the outcome of the dialogue, but that Serbia would nonetheless continue to pursue its internal policies on Kosovo and other issues driven by its own interests.

Djuric agreed with part of the statement regarding the call for the dialogue to resume but added that it should happen after taxes are abolished.

According to the Director of the Office for KiM, although Pristina has "breached the CEFTA agreement and is unlawfully trying to become a member of international organizations", Serbia is being blamed for "acting in accordance with international law".

"It is the same when you violate the CEFTA agreement, when you tread and throw international law under feet, and it is the same when, in accordance with the UN Charter, you prevent someone from gaining full independence and recognition in the broadest possible framework outside the dialogue process."

Another controversial thing for Serbia, according to Djuric, is that this announcement "shows in the best way what the outcome of the talks they want in the future and what they will strive for."
