Kosovo Central Election Commission (CEC) has decided not to count votes from the central Serbia until responsible bodies perform analysis because some CEC members reported unpleasant outdoors after touching the envelops and subsequent itching as well as suspicion of being poisoned, RTS reports today.

Meanwhile, Srpska Lista said that “re-tailoring of peoples’ will” is taking place.

Following an extraordinary meeting of the Kosovo Central Election Commission that ended last night shorty before 21.00 hrs, CEC chairwoman Valdete Daka confirmed that “suspicious envelops” from the central Serbia would remain in the premises of the Kosovo Ministry for Infrastructure until the investigation is completed.

Around 15.000 other votes from the diaspora would be transferred to CEC under police escort since they are not subject of the investigation.

Votes from Serbia, for which Kosovo-based media claim to contain poison, respectively “stinky pills” shall remain in the premises of the ministry, where they were delivered last Friday, in order, as Daka said it, not to impede the police investigation respectively to determine whether they are hazardous or not.

Meanwhile, Serb members of the Central Election Commission believe it is about fabrication in order to leave the votes unprotected and therefore manipulate with them.

Srpska Lista Deputy Chair, Srdjan Popovic said the votes are left unprotected and are disputable for counting because Serb members of CEC from Srpska Lista were thrown out of the premises where votes have been inspected.

Popovic stressed that nowhere in the world something similar has happened in the history of elections, adding he believes it is certainly about “manipulation and re-tailoring of peoples’ will.”

“It is in someone’s interest to impose political representatives who do not have the support of the Serbian people,” Popovic said. He also urged the international community to adequately react.

Commenting on the stance of Albin Kurti that he does not want members of Srpska Lista in Kosovo Government, Popovic noted that Kurti tries to impose Serbs who would be suitable to him and this way marginalize everything that Srpska Lista has done so far.

“It is not his job. He should talk to the true representatives of the Serbs, respectively to the representative elected by our people,” Popovic said.
