Rasic: Two options for overcoming crisis (KIM radio)
Outgoing Minister for Labor and Social Welfare and leader of the Progressive Democratic Party, Nenad Rasic, said that agreement is not possible amongst the leaders of Kosovo Albanian political parties because of their standpoints. “I think that only solution is a concrete proposal which would come from the President about how government should look like, and other solution is to go to new elections. Thus we have two options, if the first one doesn’t yield results, we’ll go to new elections,” said Rasic.
DSS: Serbia backing down in front of the EU (KIM radio)
The Chairperson of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) Sanda Raskovic Ivic stated that last incidents in Kosovo and Metohija come as a consequence of a backing down of Serbia as a state in front of the West, that is the European Union. Raskovic Ivic told at the press conference in Kosovska Mitrovia that state has to change its policy and show that Kosovo and Metohija is part of Serbia. She called on Serbian Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic to call elections in four northern municipalities where provisional measures have been introduced earlier.
CI SDP: We expect Ivanovic to be released pending trial (KIM radio)
Civic Initiative SDP, whose leader Olvier Ivanovic has been in detention in last nine months, stated that they expect Ivanovic to be released pending trial. CI SDP said in a statement that even though case against Ivanovic and case against ‘Drenica group’ can’t be compared, they expect that court will decide to release Ivanovic pending trial, as it did in case of accused Albanians.
