President of Serbian List Goran Rakic told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) that these elections directly decide the future of the Serbian people in Kosovo.

”It’s simple situation, on October 6, our citizens are deciding whether they will have representatives in the Assembly in Pristina who will bravely fight for their interests or we will allow ourselves to be represented by Pristina’s favourites, who no longer hide but brag about the support they receive from Albanians,” Rakic said.

He urged the citizens to vote for the Serbian List on 6th October.

”The responsibility rests on each of us and that is why I call on all citizens to be united and in unanimity because these elections directly decide the future of Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, but also the future of our country in general,” Rakic said.

He pointed out that the victory of Serbian List would give more strength to the negotiating team and President Aleksandar Vucic in continuing the dialogue in Brussels.

He adds that security and economic conditions are the main challenges with which the Serbian people in Kosovo face.

”Same as in the past, we will strive to demand greater allocations to Serbian communities through our activities within Kosovo institutions, especially in the field of agriculture and development of small and large enterprises. Of course, there is the support of our state of Serbia, which is now greater thanks to President Vucic’s financial program and it has more strength and ability to help the survival of Serbs in Kosovo. There is a need for the Serbian List to win all ten mandates in order to preserve the umbilical cord between our institutions and our people in Kosovo,” he stated.

He opined that Pristina’s leaders have nothing to offer to their citizens and, as he said, they resorted to slogans of extreme content.

“At a time when Pristina leaders have nothing to offer to their citizens, they often reach for cheap political slogans with extreme content – attacks on Serbian List, President Vucic,” Rakic said.

He said that the Serbian List would do everything in its power to preserve the peace and security of its citizens and to ensure that the pre-election process runs in peace.
