”The Serbian List strongly condemns the brutal intrusion of armed special police forces in the north of Kosovo and considers it an attempt to destabilize the situation and intimidate the Serb people in North Mitrovica, ” reads the Serbian List statement on the morning action of the Kosovo Police special units in Mitrovica.
Portal Kosovo online quotes the statement as saying that the action represents an effort to divert the Albanian public’s attention from another failed attempt by Pristina to gain membership in Interpol.
“The harassment of innocent citizens, with no evidence, becomes the standard mantra used by Albanian leaders to cover up their own defeats and failures,” the Serbian List statement said.
“We demand that the unjustly arrested persons be released immediately and that the international community bring to reason its baby before the situation gets out of hand. Responsibility for peace in this region and for the safety of all citizens lies with UNMIK, KFOR, EULEX and other organizations,” the Serbian List said at the end.
