Serbian officials won’t be allowed to visit Kosovo until parliamentary elections set for 16 March are over, carried Pristina-based Zeri, quoting sourced from the Kosovo Ministry of the Interior.

The Ministry, according to Zeri, refused to allow the visit to two Serbia’s ministers Aleksandar Vulin and Vanja Udovičić.

“Government of Kosovo, that is, Ministry of the Interior, did not allow visit to two Serbia’s ministers. Until parliamentary elections in Serbia are over, none of the high officials will be allowed to visit Kosovo,” the Ministry replied to Zeri.  The paper unofficially learned that ban on visits has to do with ‘intentions for carrying out election campaign in Kosovo’.

“Serbia’s officials always state that they are coming from personal reasons, or simply to visit Serbs who live in Kosovo, but the goal is something different. They complain on Pristina authorities and incite hatred. Considering that elections are slated in Serbia, Ministry of the Interior decided that none of those officials should be allowed to visit Kosovo,” said official from the Ministry to Zeri.
