In a village in the municipality of Zvecan tomorrow will be buried mortal remains of the Albanian national hero Isa Boletini, which is why Kosovo police will increase its presence in this municipality in northern Kosovo.
“Regional Police Directorate Mitrovica-North prepared the operational plan following the instructions from General Directorate of the police in Pristina, that stipulates increased presence of police officers, in multi-ethnic communities and in the area of responsibility of the police station Zvecan,” Bojic said.
The mayor of the Zvecan municipality, Vucina Jankovic said that no one sent the request on this occasion to the municipality of Zvecan.
-About the upcoming transfer of human remains of Isa Boletini in the Albanian village Boletin, in the municipality of Zvecan, we found out through the media. The organizers have not addressed the municipality of Zvecan with the request for approval – said Jankovic.
He stressed that KFOR and the Kosovo Police gave assurances that no incidents would be tolerated.
KFOR Commander Francesco Figliuolo will not approve the Kosovo Security Forces to go to the territory of the municipalities in the north, where Serbs are a majority, but also to follow burial of the remains of Isa Boletini, announced KFOR earlier.
Burial of the remains of Isa Boletini is scheduled for tomorrow.
