President Aleksandar Vucic says that the statement by Hashim Thaci that the dream of all Albanians is “a national unity with Albania” is an expression of a continuing policy. He points out that he is more interested in what and will anyone in the international community react to such statements.
“Serbia has become accustomed to the policy of the Albanians, and the world is silent about it,” Vucic said in response to journalists’ questions at the opening of the conference “Towards Safe Serbia”.
He says that politicians should deal with rational things not dreams and added that he was more interested in whether anyone would react to it.
“I am afraid that they will pretend that they have not even heard it or see it, like many things so far,” said the Serbian President, and reiterated that this is a continuous policy, on which Serbia was used to.
“This is not a policy of coincidence,” Vucic said, adding that it can be seen that Albanian politicians talk the same way, working in exactly the same direction.
He recalled that Haradinaj recently said that the obstacles between Kosovo and Albania will be removed from January 1, then followed a mild announcement by the European Union, and everything else, he says, is silence.
“We cannot be surprised. We just need to be prepared and react in the right way,” concludes Aleksandar Vucic.
