Serbian Prime Minster Ana Brnabic said Serbia remains committed to integrated and stable region, Tanjug news agency reported.

She added, however it is not fair to insist on signing the other agreements, while Pristina does not respect some of the fundamental regional agreements. She made these remarks following the meeting with EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn, adding that the main topics discussed were Serbia’s EU path and its work in relation to the reforms and regional connecting and cooperation.

When it comes to the regional cooperation, Brnabic said they have discussed about regional roaming agreement, which is important to the citizens and the economy.

“We have a certain degree of reservation towards regional agreements that come in a moment when Pristina still insists on violating the CEFTA agreement, by keeping 100 percent tariffs on goods from central Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Brnabic stated. She also thanked Commissioner Hahn and others from the European Commission for their unequivocal call to Pristina to revoke decision on the tariffs.

“Unfortunately, Pristina still insists on the tariffs, that are an obstacle to all other regional initiatives,” Brnabic pointed out.

She recalled that President Aleksandar Vucic and the Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic repeated Serbia is committed to the regional cooperation. It is Serbia’s stance there is no regional security and economic prosperity for anyone in the region without regional connecting and stability, Brnabic said, adding that due to these reasons ways on how Serbia can sign this agreement have been considered.
