Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic rejects the possibility of resolving the Kosovo issue by the “two Germany” model that was recently mentioned, and in 2007 proposed by German diplomat Wolfgang Ischinger, reports Serbian media.

Dacic says that the plan, which was recently talked about, cannot be applied because the two Germanys were internationally recognized states before the unification, while this model in the case of Kosovo means to dismantle and divide Serbia.

Dacic told Belgrade based TV Pink that recalling this proposal in public serves to making Serbia believe that this model is not impossible.

He said that it is uncertain when the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina will continue and reminded that it is necessary that Pristina previously abolish the taxes on goods from central Serbia.

Dacic believes that Pristina will not abolish taxes because there are certain countries to which at the moment the measures suit, without specifying which countries is he talking about.

Dacic reiterates that the “frozen conflict” regarding Kosovo is not a good solution, and that Belgrade is continuously warning the international community of this.

Ivica Dacic says the UK’s warning its citizens not to travel to the north of Kosovo could refer to the possibility of major incidents breaking out there.

The foreign minister and first deputy PM spoke for TV Pink on Wednesday and did not rule out the possibility that those incidents would be caused by “those with clouded minds” who want to conquer the north of Kosovo.
Dacic recalled that this was not the first such warning, and that “the international community has done it before.”

According to him, the warnings relating to the north of Kosovo are sometimes also connected with a criminalization of Serbs carried out by Pristina, “because, it is constantly saying that there is a criminal structure in the north and that it is unstable there.”

“Whereas in Pristina, there are criminal authorities that are now accusing the North of Kosovo of being a crime hub. However, since the warning came at this time, it is interpreted as meaning that there could be major incidents not related to crime, instead it could, happens if somebody gets the idea – and there I’ m thinking of those with clouded minds – to conquer the north of Kosovo and Metohija by military means,” Dacic said.

According to him, Belgrade does not have full sovereignty on the ground, and Pristina does not have full sovereignty that it would like to have in the north of Kosovo.

“Their goal is to try at one moment to possibly realize that Croatian scenario, a new” Storm “, and this means to expel the Serbs from the north and achieve full sovereignty,” Dacic adds, reiterating that Belgrade is constantly warning the international community to this.
