Ramadani: Government gave room to Jihadists, it should have acted earlier (Telegrafi)
Burim Ramadani, Secretary General of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), hailed today’s arrests of supporters of ISIS and Al-Nusra in Kosovo. “Actions by Kosovo’s security institutions are needed to prevent threats against national security and the lives and properties of the people. The latest actions and the arrest of Jihadists of ISIS and Al-Nusra in Kosovo are good news and a necessary reaction by security institutions. It would have been better however not to allow their numbers to grow like this. The political space that the outgoing government gave them has increased the necessity of such a reaction. Timely reactions would not have brought the country to a point where dozens of such suspects are arrested. It is well known that when the state is late to react, the society pays a high price,” Ramadani wrote on Facebook.
