Citing unnamed sources, the news website reports that six Serbs from Mitrovica North are among the group of 20 people arrested on Saturday in Podgorica, Montenegro, on charges of having planned to carry out terror attacks on election day and kidnapping Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic. Source said that Stefan Velimirovic (1991), Bojan Kovacevic (1976), Vladimir Bozovic (1995), Goran Kovacevic (1999), Luka Djordjevic (1998) from Mitrovica, and Nikola Djordjevic (1995) from Zubin Potok, are among those arrested. They crossed from Kosovo to Montenegro on Saturday. This armed group, led by the former chief of Serbian Gendarmerie, Bratislav Dikic, had planned to carry out terror attacks on election day with the goal of taking power through violence, including kidnapping Montenegro Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic,” sources said. Sources also said that one part of the group, who are faithful to Serbia’s policy vis-à-vis Kosovo, found shelter in the northern part of the country, supported also by radical and pro-Russian elements, underwent intensive training in September and October to carry out terror attacks. The news website tried to contact police officials in Mitrovica North to see if those arrested from Mitrovica are known to the police, but received no reply. The news website also recalls that Bratislav Dikic, former chief of the Serbian Gendarmerie, had interfered in the Serbian elections held in Kosovo in November 2013. At the time he was accused by opposition parties of planting explosives in several polling stations.
