Forget about normalization! (Kosova Sot)
The paper’s front-page editorial notes that, two years since the agreement for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, the signs of normalization have yet to be seen. “The authorities of the Republic of Kosovo have no control over the northern part of the country and parallel structures have yet to be dissolved. The government propaganda is trying to create the impression of rapprochement between Kosovo and Serbia but reality is completely different. Serbia is managing to push forward its interests in the territory of our country, whereas our government officials take praise for results that are visible only to them. There are no traces of the Republic of Kosovo in Serb-majority municipalities. Especially the northern municipalities challenge the Constitution and laws of Kosovo on a regular basis. Agreements reached in Brussels, such as the one on the judiciary, instead of paving way to solutions are only causing interethnic tensions.”
