Clumsy CEC (Kosova Sot)
The front page editorial of this daily writes that almost a month has passed since the general elections were held, and the results of the elections have not been certified yet. Central Election Commission continues making statements for a regular election process however delay of the results speaks about a clumsy one. This daily considers that politicians are also to be blamed for the delays, since they failed to complete the elections reform in two years. “Elections of 8 June should be a lesson for politicians who should be more determined on changing legislation in the future.”
“This Central Election Commission was not even able to announce preliminary results for a short time, even though citizens were waiting. The only positive side according to this daily is that there was no major dispute on the results by parties and candidates. “Even though there were no major changes, recounting of votes was necessary in order to remove any dilemma for eventual irregularities. Each vote of the sovereign should be respected,” concludes this daily.
