Unknown perpetrators stole last night two cows belonging to Sveta Stojanovic and Miodrag Stojkovic families in the village of Bosce, near Kamenica, Serbian media reported.
Thieves attempted to steal 5 more cows belonging to Ranko Stojanovic and Bojan Joksimovic but they failed, RTV Puls reported, adding these cows were found by village inhabitants, in the village area, blindfolded and tied, presumably to be transported later.
“Around the midnight we have noticed one cow is missing from a barn, and we assumed it got stolen. Luckily, they did not manage to steal another pregnant cow. These two cows were source of incomes for my eight family members,” Sveta Stojanovic told RTV Puls.
One more cow belonging to Miodrag Stojkovic, internally displaced person, who lives under dire economic conditions, with sick wife and daughter, was also stolen and the thieves attempted to steal another one.
“It was late in the night when I noticed that two cows from the barn are missing. Thieves managed to take one, while the other one we found in the village, Miodrag Stojkovic told RTV Puls.
According to RTV Puls, the police came on the spot after the midday following day, although village inhabitants claim they called police several times to report the cases during the night.
