Serbian List: Spasojevic and Rosic to be enabled to defend from freedom (TV Most)

Serbian List has issued a press release on Wednesday as a reaction to the extension of detention of Nedeljko Spasojevic and Marko Rosic, TV Most reports. Serbian List said the decision was made without any evidence and based on false testimonies, recalling that Nedeljko Spasojevic and Marko Rosic are in detention for more than 150 days. “Serbian List expects the authorities to uphold the law and not political games, and from the international community to engage in this process, and that our fellow citizens are most urgently granted the right to defend themselves from freedom, or the prosecution to come forth with concrete evidence. The position that our fellow citizens should prove their innocence, instead of having the prosecution prove their guilt is a classical institutional violence, unseen in Europe”, it was said in a statement. “Silence of the European Union on a drastic violation of the rights of our fellow citizens is absolutely unacceptable, and we cannot understand that. Their decision to seek justice by going on a hunger strike best illustrates the situation Nedeljko Spasojevic and Marko Rosic are in, along with the judicial system in Kosovo and Metohija”, Serbian List concluded.
