Ceku creates army by the trick (Vecernje Novosti)
If Pristina announcements become a true, and Kosovo army will be formed through legal shortcuts in order to avoid the ramp of Serbian MPs, the political crisis in the province would only deepen.
According to calculations stipulated by the Kosovo constitution, the votes of Serbian MPs are necessary for the formation of the army and because of that, the outgoing Minister of Security Forces Agim Ceku, said that Pristina has a plan "B": the establishment of the armed forces through change of a law.
President of CI Srpska, Vladeta Kostic said that such a decision, based on some sort of fictional law and without the consent of Serbian MPs would be illegitimate, and would deepen the political crisis in Kosovo: “One should turn to solving economic problems and increase of the life standard of all people in Kosovo and Metohija, and not making a costly toy for some Albanian political leaders.
Head of the Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo of the Serbian Assembly, Milovan Drecun says that Kosovo armed forces are not in the interest of the Serbs from Kosovo because they can only present a security threat for them: “If someone is planning to fool the Serbs, circumvent the Constitution, and open legal space for the establishment of armed forces, it will mean the destabilization of the situation in Kosovo.”
