Hunting on Serbs continues (Vesti online)
Several residents of Zubin Potok received subpoena to report to the EULEX Prosecution Office in Kosovska Mitrovica, because of the suspicion of involvement in the murder of Audrijus Shenavicius. Lithuanian Customs Officer Shenavicius who was employed in EULEX mission, was killed on September 19, 2013, near the village of Balaban, in Zvecan municipality.
The subpoena does not specify whether citizens are invited as the perpetrators of the murder, accomplices or witnesses. Persons who received the subpoena are afraid that regardless of the fact they don’t have any connection with this crime they could be arrested and held in custody for months.
The EULEX Special Prosecutor's Office did not want to comment on the investigation, which, as they say, is in progress. On the other side the citizens of Zubin Potok are in panic because many of them believe that the subpoenas that EULEX sent represent continued hunting of Serbs from this municipality, which lasts for several years and which has nothing to do with justice. “They work according to the system of hearsay, call without any evidence, blackmail and accuse people. Which connection we from Zubin Potok have with happenings on the road between Zvecan and Leposavic,” asked one of the inhabitants of Zubin Potok.
