Albanians acquitted over attack against checkpoint in Dobrosin (BETA, Tanjug, Kontakt plus radio)
The Basic Court in Gnjilane acquitted from charges of terrorism and participation in terrorist groups all ten members of “Dobrosin group,” Serbian media reported.
They were charged in 2012, over the armed attack against Police of Serbia checkpoint in the village of Dobrosin, Bujanovac municipality.
The court acquitted Valon Jashari, who was charged for terrorism and participation in a terrorist group. Previously, he was sentenced for the same crime to 9 years in prison.
Skener Jashari, previously sentenced to 8 years in prison, Gazmend Lakna, previously sentenced to 5 years and a half in prison and Gazmend Gjumshiti, sentenced to 6 years and a half in prison were also acquitted.
The court also acquitted Qendrim Rexhaj, Muhamed Aliju, Skender Selmani, Abdulah Zogaj, previously sentenced to 5 years and a half in prison each, Enver Musoli, 6 years and a half, and Jeton Selmani 2 years, Serbian media reported.
The Basic Court made decision to acquit the suspects, accused of injuring a Serb police officer, with explanation there were no evidences that they have committed the attack.
