Milincic: EU strategy is not friendly (TV N1)
Sputnik in Serbian, Editor-in-Chief, Ljubinka Milincic told TV N1 that the EU Enlargement Strategy for Western Balkans is not friendly towards Serbia, and it would be the best if they let Belgrade and Pristina reach an agreement on their own.
She also commented on a statement of the EU Commissioner for Enlargement Negotiations and Neighborhood Policy, Johannes Hahn that there is no draft of the legally binding agreement, paper remains blank and depends upon future negotiations.
“We were told the strategy is not obligatory, it is a political stance, and we can adapt to it or not, we were told there is something in this strategy that is contrary to the negotiation process, something that is pressure upon us (…). It is not a friendly gesture. The blank paper, well it is good to have it blank and it is good that we fill it in,” Milincic said.
She also added she is not supportive of fast solutions, when someone says to us we must do something. It is good to talk and negotiate as much as needed, to reach something which goes to the mutual satisfaction, rather than to mutual dissatisfaction, TV N1 reported.
