Orahovac: Crosses on tombs of Serbs buried two months ago demolished (KIM Radio, Gracanica Online)
All Souls Day was marked across Kosovo on Saturday. In addition to broken gravestones, Serbs from Orahovac in an old city cemetery found broken crosses on the tombs of Marija Radic and Zoran Lukic, buried there in March this year, GracanicaOnline portal reported.
Only a dozen gravestones remained intact in the old cemetery, while others were destroyed or demolished over the last years. People from Orahovac while visiting the cemetery used to find animal bones scattered on the graves. The cemetery is covered with bushes, while the entry is turned into a landfill.
Serbs from Orahovac told the portal they have no one to complain to anymore, as Kosovo authorities did not shed the light on any case related to desecration and demolishment of Serb gravestones.
Old city cemetery in Orahovac is located on the way to Malisevo and is 500 meters away from the last Serb houses in the northern part of the town, where 300 remaining Serbs still live there, portal reported.
