Hoxhaj: No government without PDK (RTK)
Enver Hoxhaj, deputy leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and Kosovo’s outgoing Foreign Minister, said in an interview for RTK1 that although his party is waiting for the interpretation of the Constitutional Court, the future government of Kosovo cannot be formed without the PDK.
Hoxhaj said five countries are in the process of recognizing Kosovo’s statehood, three member states of the European Union – Greece, Romania and Slovakia, and two African countries which have already decided to recognize Kosovo. Hoxhaj said Spain has internal reasons not to recognize Kosovo.
Hoxhaj also said he expects Kosovo to become a member of the United Nations and its agencies by 2020. “It is likely that we will join the United Nations within a five-year period and this was suggested in a study by experts and our strategic partners,” he added.
