Balla: Political deadlock is causing damages to the image of Kosovo (Radio Kosova)
Hungarian Ambassador in Kosovo, Loran Balla, says that political parties should find a solution for the political deadlock.
Hungary is engaged everywhere to help Kosovo in its state building and especially in integration processes in international mechanisms, but his country does not have at all in the agenda to interfere in solving of political deadlock in Kosovo, said Hungarian Ambassador, Loran Balla, in an interview for Radio Kosova.
While talking in the morning show in the second channel of Radio Kosova, he said that it is a responsibility of all political parties to find a solution, because political deadlock is causing damage to Kosovo.
“In this situation Kosovo needs to have a strong government, strong institutions and as more delayed, the worse for the image of Kosovo and there could be consequences, not only political consequences, but also economic.”
Ambassador Balla, who does not want to talk much on the Progress Report until it is published, concerning political deadlock he expects negative evaluation.
“I don’t believe that it will be a positive tone that for four months there has been any result.”
This delay stalled also in the aspect of foreign investments in Kosovo, specifically Hungarian investments, for which, Ambassador Balla says that they are very small.
“Maybe corruption and property uncertainty are obstacles. The agreement for protection of investments is in discussion, and maybe in the latest months the lack of Kosovo institutions didn't help as very much.”
Otherwise, Hungarian Ambassador in Kosovo, Loran Balla, expects that also five EU member countries that have not recognized Kosovo will do this in a near future. While he sees illegal immigrations as a problem for Kosovo.
