Mustafa: The Constitutional Court makes the coalition block agreement impossible (kohanet)
Isa Mustafa, leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK,) wrote on his Facebook page that the issue of the constitution of the institutions is more important than the issue who is going to lead them.
“The situation in Kosovo with regards to the constitution of the institutions after the general elections is far more important than the simplification of who is going to lead the institutions. Political parties have their own leaders; however we in LDK did not hold the elections to accommodate me as a leader, as I am hearing in some comments.
Elections were held to make positive changes on the governing of the country. We will maximally engage to find an acceptable solution for the parties that we represent through an agreement with the after-election coalition and in interest of the parties of the coalition and the citizens, since the decision of the Constitutional Court made implementation of the 10 June 2014 agreement impossible.
We have the positions of our parties, which we have discussed together and we will discuss them within the after-election coalition and we will decide in accordance with our will and that of the membership that we represent, but also based on the criteria which reflected the possibility to take over the mandate.
