Kosovo Assembly fails to approve parliamentary committees (Radio Kosova)
The Kosovo Assembly failed to approve 14 parliamentary committees that were proposed last week. The motion received 58 votes in favor and 32 against and it required 61 to pass. MPs from the opposition parties opposed the ways the parliamentary committees were allocated because, according to them, the main committees will be chaired by the coalition parties. Assembly Speaker, Kadri Veseli, postponed this point of the agenda for the next session.
Radio Kosova reports that the Government of Kosovo approved the draft law for budget for the year 2015. This draft law which will be referred to the assembly, does not include salary increases of 25 per cent as prescribed by the previous government.
