Die Presse: Thaci shakes Serbia again (Reporteri)
The prestigious Austrian daily Die Presse published today analysis on Serbia’s rejection of the visit of Kosovo’s Principal Deputy Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci to Belgrade.
No matter if “the snake” goes to Belgrade or not, he has managed to once again shake Serbia, and reconfirm within Kosovo his uncontested power, writes this daily. Die Presse further notes that this has put Serbia on an unfavorable position, especially at the difficult process for normalization of the relations between Serbia and Kosovo, that is being held in Brussels. “If Belgrade forbids the visit or allows arresting of the unwanted guest, Serbia is once again in the position of the stubborn inhibitor of peace in the process of normalization. If Serbia approves the visit, violent protests are unavoidable,” is written in this analysis.
The paper notes that different from Serbia, Kosovo has shown readiness and it guaranteed security for the Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, during their visits to Kosovo.
Die Presse further carries the headlines of Serbian dailies on Thaci’s eventual visit to Belgrade.
