Delawie: The opposition did not heed Secretary Kerry’s advice (media)
The US Ambassador to Kosovo Greg Delawie addressed the media at the Assembly following the interruption of the session by opposition MPs who yet again released teargas in the chamber and expressed concern with the recent developments. Delawie commended the MPs who, he said, are trying to enable the Assembly to function normally and added that on his latest visit to Kosovo, the US Secretary of State John Kerry called for dialogue between the parties. “I see that the people are not heeding it,” Delawie stressed. He further said he was concerned over the presence of the two Vetevendosje MPs, currently on house arrest, at the Assembly and warned of the increasing nationalist rhetoric.
