Rejection of the opposition will be even more powerful (Koha Ditore)
The Assembly of Kosovo faces a dilemma as to whether to begin the first spring session with the election of the new president of Kosovo. Sources within the Assembly mention the 11 February as a possible date for the election of the President. Another possibility that was mentioned is to start with a normal working session to learn more about the opposition's approach. However, there has been no official confirmation of this news. On the other hand, opposition parties claim that the only issue that can be discussed at the Assembly is setting the date for early elections.
The Assembly Presidency should gather this week to set the date of the first plenary spring session. Donika Kadaj-Bujupi, head of the Parliamentary Group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), told Radio Kosova that that opposition will oppose every effort to legitimize this process, which according to her is illegitimate. “Rejection will be even more powerful, because now even the Constitutional Court has confirmed that opposition is right,” Kadaj-Bujupi said.
Political analysts appealed to both parties to sit and discuss how to overcome the crisis, prior to the plenary session.
