Thaci: Institutions are working for the rights of all citizens (Lajmi)

Kosovo President, Hashim Thaci, said in today’s meeting of the Advisory Council for Communities, that 2016 has been a successful year for this mechanism. “The state of Kosovo is built on the principles of respect and protection of human rights. Kosovo’s institutions are working on the implementation of these rights for all citizens and without any differences. Kosovo is home to all its citizens. By working together we will build new bridges of coexistence,” President Thaci said. Gazmend Salivjevic, chairman of the Advisory Council for Communities, thanked Thaci for his support. “We have the support of President Thaci for our work and I thank him for this. I hope this council will do an even better job next year and continue to work for the good of all communities,” he said. Isak Meta, representative of the Bosniak community in the council, called for the inclusion of Bosniaks in institutions. “This is crucial because the majority of [Bosniak] businesses were built without help. We need help. Bosniaks are also not represented in the institutions. This should change,” Meta said.
