KSF troops to help relief efforts in Albania (Telegrafi)
The government of Kosovo has approved the request to send Kosovo Security Force troops to assist in relief efforts in the flood-affected areas in Albania.
KSF Deputy Minister, Brahim Mehmetaj, said the request for assistance came from the Embassy of Albania. He said the government would have to approve the request while the President of Kosovo is the authority that would ultimately authorize KSF to take part in the mission. “Based on information we have, there are over 70 bridges damaged and they need assistance,” Mehmetaj said.
Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj said he hoped the decision to send troops will be taken on a timely manner.
