President Thaci to also address Kosovo MPs (Koha Ditore)
Following his address to the members of the Kosovo Security Force yesterday, President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci’s office was asked to comment on why he did not address Kosovo MPs as required by the Constitution of Kosovo. The answer stressed that Thaci is waiting for the Kosovo Assembly presidency to set the date for such an annual event and that the President is under no circumstance ignoring constitutional duty towards the Kosovo Assembly. “The Department of Public Information and Communication wishes to clarify that these public addresses are not intended to disregard constitutional and legal obligations the president of the country has towards the Kosovo Assembly but are a new form of communication applied so as to tackle most important issues for a wider public,” Thaci’s office said in a written response to the paper.
