Kosovo condemns removal of flag from its consulate in Strasbourg (media)
The government of Kosovo has condemned the removal of the Kosovo flag and the destruction of emblem at its consulate in Strasbourg over the weekend. In a statement, the government said such acts are unacceptable. “The Government of the Republic of Kosovo expresses its deep indignation over this act and, appreciating the immediate commitment of the French authorities, requires them to discover and apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice,” the statement reads. Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, also condemned the act as unacceptable. “The attack on the General Consulate of the Republic of Kosovo in Strasbourg whereby state symbols were destroyed is an unacceptable act that undermines the integrity of the state of Kosovo,” Haradinaj said. Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj and Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli also condemned the act.
