The paper’s front-page editorial highlights the statement by US Ambassador to Kosovo, Tracey Ann Jacobson, who said that laws are not being implemented properly and called on voters to support politicians that can guarantee lawfulness. The editorial further notes that Kosovo has lost a lot of time since 2000, by failing to guarantee legal standards, full respect for human rights and justice. “It is true that we have good laws, a modern and democratic constitution, but it is also true that there are serious violations in all levels of government … The US Ambassador has made it clear to political parties that the international community will accept only free and fair elections. If law will be respected, the 8 June elections will be a moment of success for Kosovo’s pale image, therefore, everyone needs to engage in having a successful process for the future of the people of Kosovo”.
