Bahtiri and Rakic to discuss River Iber bridge in Brussels (Telegrafi.com)
Mitrovica mayor, Agim Bahtiri met with the mayor of Mitrovica North municipality, Goran Rakic and head of the Administrative Office in the north, Adriana Hodzic.
During this meeting which lasted almost three hours, they discussed the general situation in both parts of the city, assessing that the current security situation is calm and with tendency to relax further. They also discussed continuance of the cooperation on the issues of joint interests for Mitrovica people.
Bahtiri and Rakic also discussed integration of the city and creation of conditions for return of the displaced Albanians and Serbs in their homes as well as about organizing a joint donor’s conference, where they would present joint projects for both municipalities, beneficial for the people and the city in general.
They also expressed determination to move forward the processes that would contribute on the development of Kosovo and especially the north.
“In this occasion, Rakic informed mayor Bahtiri about his options for economic development as well as social welfare and integration. Bahtiri and Rakic will meet again during this month, respectively on 23 June in Brussels, where they are expected to discuss the issue of the main bridge on the River Iber/Ibar,” is written in the press release.
