Paquet: EU concerned over Assembly’s failure to adopt special court (Telegrafi)

Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, said today at the fifth meeting of the dialogue on the Stabilization/Association Agreement (SAA) that the SAA is the foundation of Kosovo’s path toward European Union integration, economic development, the rule of law and poverty alleviation. Mustafa said that public administration reforms are among the priorities of the Kosovo government and that the latter is also drafting a national strategy for economic development. On the issue of visa liberalization, Mustafa said all Kosovo institutions are committed to the process and are expecting positive recommendations. Jean Paquet, the European Commission’s Director for the Western Balkans, said at the meeting that all EU member states are concerned over the Kosovo Assembly’s failure to adopt the special court. Paquet said he expects the matter to be reviewed and praised the government for its engagement in this respect.
