New Democratic Party (NDS) caucus whip in the Serbian Assembly Marko Đurišić stated that decision to call Kosovo Serbs to participate in elections is good.

“I believe that the decision is a good one, even though it is obviously brought in difficult circumstances and despite many opposite justifications. However, I think that history has taught us that any non-participation is worse than participation, even under the unfair conditions,” said Đurišić.

He emphasized that NDS participates with its candidates on the joint Serbian list. “State, which by signing Brussels agreement, took over the responsibility for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, should have a clear stance. We expect the state to call citizens to turn out and vote because even participation in this situation is better solution than non-participation,” said Đurišić.

Đurišić added that NDS is active in Kosovo and Metohija and that it campaigns for having as many as possible citizens turning out on elections and voting for Serbian List and its candidates.
