Mitrovica - Representatives of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) today will begin the reconstruction of the Parliament building in Leposavic/Leposaviq, which will be equipped and technologically, and a children's playground in the village Sočanica will be built. In these two projects will be invested $ 100,000, said to Politika Dragan Jablanović, Mayor Leposavic/Leposaviq.

The works will, according to him, perform two Serbian companies that USAID chose through the tender - one from Zvečan/Zveqan and the other from Gracanica.

Also the EU, within the grants totalling 38.5 million euros planned for the next two years (the money was to be paid at the end of last year), has launched a competition for projects in four municipalities in northern Kosovo in the amount of 10.5 million euros. The leadership of the four municipalities, Mitrovica, Zvecan/Zveqan, Leposavic/Leposaviq and Zubin Potok, may apply for the 3.5 million euros allocated for infrastructure works and five million is designated for rural and economic development, and for this can apply individual sector - owners of small and medium enterprises, farmers.

In addition to these grants each municipality shall be approved another 500,000 euros also for infrastructure.
