Burglarized houses of returnees in Klina (RTS)
Four homes and two auxiliary buildings, owned by Serbs, were burglarized in the Village Grabovac near Klina, according to the Kosovo Ministry of Communities and Returns.
Kosovo Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic strongly condemned last night's incident, reports Tanjug.
Jevtic said that the burglary and theft of items from the house is obvious intimidation of returnees and a message to those who wish to return to Kosovo that they are not welcome.
"This is a message to us, working on return and ensuring the survival, that our work is futile. I want to say to all who think that in this way they can reduce our effort to return back a large number of displaced and ensure a safe place to live, that they cannot succeed in their intentions," said Jevtic.
We appealed, and we will appeal all the relevant institutions dealing with security in Kosovo to strengthen their efforts in order that such incidents do not repeat, Jevtic said in a statement delivered to Tanjug.
The Ministry and I personally will do everything possible for the successful return to Kosovo, and for the sustainable survival, no matter how big problems we encounter, added Jevtic.
