Jablanovic to visit displaced Serbs in Prokuplje on Wednesday (Blic)

The Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo government, Aleksandar Jablanovic, will pay a visit to internally displaced Serbs who live in Prokuplje (Serbia proper) on Wednesday.

Jablanovic said to Tanjug that he will visit displaced Serbs from Kosovo who live in Serbia proper and visit few internally displaced Serb families from Đakovice/Gjakovë who live in Prokuplje and surrounding.

He said that big project, co-funded by the European Commission, aiming at housing displaced Roma form Kosovo who live in Montenegro and Macedonia should be accomplished by the end of this year. It is about a construction of 286 houses for returnees in 2015, said Jablanovic. He went on to say that he recently held a meeting with the Mayor of North Mitrovica, Goran Rakic, who expressed readiness for implementation of projects in North Mitrovica which would enable housing of internally displaced persons who live in that town.

Jablanovic also stressed that his Ministry is faced with two main problems, the first one is lack of funds for the return process and the second one is insufficient level of cooperation with certain municipalities in Kosovo.
