Pristina’s failure to act indirectly encourages mass exodus of Albanians, said President of the Serbian Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun. He added that the intention of Pristina is to politically abuse discontent of the people, which go in search for a better life, so that Brussels would pressure Belgrade to recognize Kosovo as a state. He said that it is a kind of blackmail which Pristina applied successfully since the arrival of the international community. 

As Drecun stated, Serbia can now be under a strong pressure of some EU countries that have recognized the independence of Kosovo to accept Kosovo's membership in the UN, under the pretext that it is mandatory for the economic prospect in Kosovo. “That is the game that hides behind this unusual sudden wave of migration,” said Drecun.

 He stated that a question for Brussels is why the reaction is so mild. “We see police cooperation in which Serbia participates, we see that Hungary faces the problem, and Brussels somehow tolerantly passes over it,” Drecun said.
