Head of EULEX Gabriel Meucci said that there are no conditions for Ovlier Ivanović to be released pending decision, until all of remaining 38 witnesses are heard.

“That process has just started, 21 witnesses have been heard and another 38 have remained. The judge has decided so, until all hare heard, there are no conditions for the suspect to be released pending decision. Judge is judge, and he is the one to decide whether guarantees are good. It is not up to the head of the mission (EULEX) to make decisions about it,” said Meucci to Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

Meucci reflected on the vacancy for Serbian judges in Kosovo and said the EULEX is receiving application and will make selection of candidates. He added that EULEX is ready to offer its assistance to Belgrade and Pristina in the implementation of agreements they reach.
