Serbia’s EU accession process not delayed (IRS)
European Parliament representatives appreciate the efforts Serbia is making on the EU accession path and believe that the first chapters could be opened by the end of the year, said Minister for EU Integrations Jadranka Joksimovic in Brussels.
Many circumstances have been creating a public impression of our EU course being slowed down, but I have heard from everybody here that Serbia is on a good path, said Joksimovic after meeting with EP officials. Speaking of the latest round of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, she said that the process was difficult, but that Belgrade had been investing a lot of efforts to find mutually acceptable solutions. We have proved to be serious negotiators and that is appreciated, she said, adding that, besides the Brussels dialogue, it is also internal reforms that are essential for Serbia’s EU integrations.
