Divisions among Serbs in Kosovo even threaten creation of the A/CSM (Politika)
Deposition of Aleksandar Jablanovic from the helm of the Serbian List had shown how deep divisions are on Vulin’s and Vucic’s people in Kosovo and Metohija. There is no bigger harmony in the Serbian Government than between the Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Minister for Labor Aleksandar Vulin, however there is no bigger division between Vucic’s and Vulin’s people from the Serbian List in the Kosovo parliament, which can even jeopardize the creation of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities.
The depth of the animosities could be observed last week in the Kosovo parliament when Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa was due to present the four Brussels agreements. MPs from the ranks of Vulin’s Socialists Movement, headed by Aleksandar Jablanovic who was deposed by the Serbian Government from the helm of the Serbian List, have boycotted the session.
New coordinator of the Serbian List and SNS official, Branimir Stojanovic (Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister), said that non-attendance of the session by the MPs form the ranks of the Socialists Movement where A/CSO was due to be discussed was a motion against the Serbian state policy which is caused by the fight for positions.
Announcement of Jablanovic that a session of the Serbian List caucus would take place today where decision would be made on which one out of three ministers in the Kosovo government will be deposed, only proves that divisions will continue.
The chairperson of the Serbian Resistance Movement Randjel Nojkic said that Belgrade has to resolve this problem as soon as possible and that disputes among the Serbian community are big, what leads him to believe that divisions will continue. He went on to say that someone in Belgrade will have to seat down with the conflicting parties and find a compromise, otherwise creation of the A/CSM would be under question, which is of utmost importance to Serbs.
