Djuric: For Serbs, Albanians are part of the solution, not part of the problem (Blic)
“I hope that in 2016, people will live better with each other and I hope that the politicians will be wise to realize that living together is not only part of the problem, but part of the solution,” said Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Marko Djuric, for Pristina daily Zeri.
He explained that this means that for the Serbs the Albanians are part of the solution rather than part of the problem. According to him, Serbs and Albanians should agree on peace and the necessity of cooperation in order to build strong institutions for the rule of law and economic prosperity, which is a prerequisite to prevent migration of waves of young people, Albanians and Serbs, who are leaving Kosovo. “Our attitudes regarding the status of Kosovo are visibly different from Pristina and there is no chance that this will change in the future. I think this should not prevent us to build good relationships with each other, to find the best common interests and to learn from the mistakes of the past,” said Djuric.
