Islamists from Kosovo shot at Serb houses before the arrest in Decani (Blic)
The investigation against Islamists arrested in front of Decani Monastery was extended because of the suspicion that two hours before they were arrested, they shot at Serb houses in Klina/Kline. Although Kosovo police strongly denied that the four young men are Islamists and that they were planning an attack the monastery of Visoki Decani, the prosecutor from Pec/Peja was of a different opinion.
The request for an investigation specified that Arben Imeri (34) had already been to the battlefield in Syria, while Alban Kelmendi (24) was arrested at the airport because he had been planning to travel to Syria and fight for Al Nusra. The arrested men have admitted the possession of "Kalashnikov" and a gun, but stated that they didn’t intend to attack the monastery. They claimed that their intention was to go on a camping trip to the mountains. The prosecutor, however, said that it must be additionally checked whether on the day of arrest, at around 7 p.m., they shot at the homes belonging to the Zivkovic and Pantic families, in Berkovo village, near Klina/Kline, with automatic weapons.
