Extremism increasingly present in Kosovo (TV Most)
Kosovo Minister of Local Government Administration and coordinator of the management team for the establishment of the Association / Community of Serb municipalities Ljubomir Maric said that the incidents that began last year (after reaching agreement on the Community in Brussels) are receiving new forms. He added that non-Albanians, Serbs in the first place, and everything which has characteristics of Serbian, become the target of extremism which is increasingly present.
Nevertheless, Maric expects a large turnout at the Serbian elections scheduled for 24 April. "I think we need to seriously work on security issues, which will certainly be one of the topics of meeting that will be soon held with the mayors of towns with Serbian majority, as well as representatives of the international community, especially KFOR," said Maric in an interview for Jedinstvo. He added that Serbs have good cooperation with the Kosovo Police, but the most important is to influence the political representatives of Albanians, whose condemnation and reaction are keys to the control of the situation and decrease of the attacks.
