Stojanovic: Pristina running away from problems (Tanjug)
The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Branimir Stojanovic stated yesterday that behavior of Pristina, in relation to introduction of a ban on the use of Serbian IDs by Kosovo residents, along with other measures, is an effort aimed at shifting the focus of the general public from important topics, such as creation of the Association/Community of Serb-majority Municipalities and the beginning of work of the Special Court for the Kosovo Liberation Army war crimes.
Stojanovic said to Serbian public broadcaster RTS that it is about running away from problems which are very painful for Pristina. “Excuses are needed along with misleading the general public, and the easiest way is by the use of Serbian-Albanian relations, with the goal to shift the attention to topics which are not priorities,” explained Stojanovic.
He added that Serbia and Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija are ready for the creation of the A/CSM and that EU has to do its job and exert pressure on the Kosovo government, in order that the process of creation of the A/CSM is unblocked. “We are not losing hope, we didn’t give up and we won’t give up from the creation of the A/CSM, because it is the most important thing that has to be implemented. This is the instrument we need in order to survive here,” said Stojanovic.
