Jevtic and the Serbian List condemn the attack on Serbian journalist (RTK2)
Minister for Communities and Returnm, Dalibor Jevtic, and representatives of the Serbian list condemned the attack on the TV Most crew. Jevtic said that many incidents went unpunished and that this means that somebody has to urgently answer on this and all other unsolved attacks. “I am disappointed by the fact something like this happened in Kosovo. Again the journalists are targets of those who are not ready to accept the fact that Serbs should live and work freely in Kosovo. We did not forget the recent attack on the journalists of RTK2, or the missing and murdered journalists Djuro Slavuj, Ranko Perinic, Ljubomir Knezevic, Aleksandar Simovic, Marjan Melonaši and Momir Stokuća. The fact that journalists were doing their job and were attacked just because they are Serbian journalists, is of serious concern,” said Jevtic.
The Serbian List appeals on the police and the prosecution to bring the attackers to justice. "The attack on journalists is an attack on freedom of speech and the essentials of a democratic society. Such incidents cause unrest among the Serbs in Kosovo and make a step back from the normal coexistence of all people in this region," was concluded in the statement.
